Introducing our Diabetic Educator, Li Yen.
Li Yen is a qualified Credentialed Diabetes Educator, health coach and accredited pharmacist, been working as health care professional for over 18 years. She is passionate about providing personalized diabetes education and care that empowers people with diabetes to deal with their ongoing daily self-management. With her knowledge as a pharmacist, she also helping patients with medications management.
Special interests include diabetes management, gestational diabetes, Insulin initiation and tit-ration, Home medication review, NDIS clients. As well as Diabetes technology- including setting up pumps (Medtronic, Dexcom, Ypsomed), Omnipod and Continuous Glucose.
Li Yen's qualifications include a grad cert in Diabetes Education (Mayfield Education 2017), a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) (Monash University 2005), and she holds registration and profiessional memberships including Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency PHA0000968090 and Credentialed Diabetes Educator reg. 28148.
Li Yen speaks Chinese (Cantonese), Chinese (Mandarin) and Malay.
